Chemicals & Climb Lines

Plenty of contradictions as always on this.
Testing soon after exposure etc. is one thing,
But as this passes and real life test starts, then a year after exposure of repeated duty cycles , ultra-violent radiation, friction heats, hard impacts, stretching etc. can very well be a different thing.

I think fanatically protect gear, if only for the expressions to self and all that this what is expected by anyone without question.

Some mountain/rescue folks would go absolute ape shit (real term, not just saying cuz a tree site)if someone stepped on a rope or unnecessarily drag rope thru grit etc. in similar hold as holy mantra in handling gear.

The other experiment was also by Black diamond but unfortunately they measured the results in falls before failure instead of a more empirical break test.

i purpose-fully vote conservative on this issue.
Can get many opinion flavors and tests of immediate results.

BUT, no long term promises; related to reduced cycles to failure etc.
Nor on how much less respect others unknown to you mite treat gear that doesn't look as loved etc.
