I have one. It is a ONE man operation. Period. I have come close to losing fingertips a few times, but the payoff in firewood is sweet. I don't know about you guys, but oil is way to much this year, so wood is primary,risk to limb, secondary. Risk is our job!

Its a good splitter but you really need to pay attention to what you are doing. If the end is not cut flat and is on a angle (long part of the angle up) the wood may fly up and greet you. One person only because of the speed of the machine. I would never buy one and have someone other than myself split the wood too much risk.
