chainsaw pants

Perhaps I should have put this under the the pants discussion, but do any of you ladies climb in chainsaw pants? I am looking for gladiators, but can't find them in a small enough waist size. Suggestions, comments, etc? And I would love to speak with my congressman about arborwear still not coming in women's sizes!!

i wear sips on removal days. they don't fit me very well, but are better under a saddle than chaps at least for me. bill at arborwear is a pretty dang approachable guy - why don't you shoot him an email? my guess is the market isn't big enough for women's sizes, but it can't hurt to speak up

My guess is the market is even SMALLER for women's chainsaw pants than plain climbing pants. I guess I will have to get the smallest size I can and buy dorky suspenders. (Then prey that the pictures don't get released on the internet).

Thanks for the information Kathy! It does not seem that many girls 'round here climb with saws...

I wear the Husky cutting pants and don't really like them. They don't fit me that great and the zippers always break. I am pretty average 5'5" 125lbs. I spoke to the folks at Sherrill, they sell the Gladiator Pfanner pants with chainsaw protection. The website says there sizes start at waist size 31". They might be able to special order smaller sizes, but it could take up to a few months to get them in! Plus they are really expensive!

Well, I have good news. I just tried on a pair of the Pfanner Gladiator pants size small (30" waist/ 30 length). They fit pretty good. I usually wear a 28-29" waist.

I was worried because I purchased stretchairs for my husband in size medium (he usually wears a 34 waist) and I had to send them back for a small, because they were too big. I tried on his stretchairs, and they can literally fall off of me. I was thinking that gladiators ran about the same size wise. I am not that tiny.

I too wear the SIP pants, used to wear the Husky pants.

Though little bulky (and warm in the summer) I like the way the fit!

They're awesome in cold weather and easy to climb in (for me).

I wear Stihl hi flex for takedowns, size small fit me fine 28"waist 118lbs, they has an XS as well, could get into those too. Only now is the 'stretchy' bit wearing out, I need new ones but want front protection only, mine were class C all around and quite bulky.
