Certified Arborist Dog

I've promoted my dog Zuphlus to Certified Arborist Dog. She's been Grounddog for four seasons and likes nothing better than tree work. She didn't even have to write the test because the bitch wrote the book. We actually forget we're at work with her on site. It gets real quick when she's ordered to take a day off.

I'm hoping that'll get the dog catcher and his posse off her back.

Congrats to your Dog! My ex boss's Dog Skippy could drag brush but he would go way beyond the chipper. Mostly spreading the job all over the place and making us chase him around. Bad dog Skippy. Stop Skippy...Dammit. lol good times

Sounds like Skippy's got some studying to do before being certified. Zuphlus's most important duty is controlling entry of the work zone by deer, squirrels, old men, and we don't even say the word c a t. We're still having problems with the Elk though, she needs backup with them.

She can sense a sneaky old man from a long ways away. You'd never think how many there are hiding in the tall grass. She scolds them as I watch them cutting through backyards from my bird's eye view. If there's digging to be done she wants to do it, how many have a worker like that?

Mine found me. Circled my house for 8 hours then blocked the front door. Just had a whitetail spend over a week cold spell under an arborvitae by my front window. Dog left it alone and the deer got up on the first day above -20c had a couple mouth fulls of willow and headed down the road. I've got pictures and video actually of this right behind my computer screen with treebuzz on. And my girlfriend was there to see it for a bonus. I don't think she knows how to get it off the iphone. I'll try and post my first video but there's some ppe violations that need editing out first.

Mines good at tree work work too.

Whenever the saw is running, she keeps herself at safe distance and warns others.

only problem is she wants sticks from the brash, and barks like mad if she don't get one.

Ya don't get them started on sticks or ropes. But it's amazing when we're hauling brush she brings some along sometimes. Border Collies are smart but I can't leave her behind or she'll flip so no golfing, movies, hunting, parties you get the idea. We'll work on some pics. She's a perfect road trip dog. She sits back with one front paw on the arm rest. I'll have to get her some cool sunglasses and teach her how to drink from a straw.

You must adopt a dog ASAP. No excuses.

Here's a spring pic for those of us living through one of the longest winters ever. I got to get those deer pics up too. They will take some time. I've moved on to this years promos. Hopefully I'll show you those too. Got a good idea.

Nice, my dog has come with me on the job since he was a seven week old pup. I have never tied him up and generally customers love him. I can't imagine going to work without him now.... really puts a damper on motorcycle riding though.... think I need a side car.

That's awesome..... does he have little doggie ear pro?
I used to take my chow on jobs too...but she's adopted the policy of wandering off where it's quiet.. and getting lost... So now she stays home and guards the shop...

If only I knew what my dog was capable of. Had some oil on the stove fill the house with smoke this morning. So once I cleared the air I brought her into the kitchen and I barked at the stove and tried to explain her duty. Next time she went through the kitchen she gave a bark to say she understood. She learns stuff and remebers it with one time instruction, amazing. Border Collies have to be the Einstiens of the dog world.
