Captive pin shackles

Recently ordered a cheaply priced captive pin shackle to be used in a non life support application (connecting my wrench tether to my pully). It's complete crap. The pin isn't really captured to the body, and the smooth bore hole is bored out way too much. If I were to actually load this thing to SWL, it would very likely break, and even if it didn't it would tweak the thread connection where it would be practically impossible to unscrew it. Now I'm not going to be loading this thing in such a way that these are real issues, BUT that's not really the point. I want a shackle that works the way it's suppose to.

The vender i bought it from is going to send me another one on their dime, but i only give them a 25% chance of coming up with a functional piece of hardware. Anyone know where I can get a cheap 1/2" d shaped captive pin shackle that isn't complete garbage? I know wichard is basically the gold standard, but I don't want to pay 60 bucks for something that isn't going to see any real weight.

Various sailing stores sell them. Wichard is a great brand but not he only one

I've had good luck with the Suncor and Five Oceans brands. The Five Oceans stuff is Chinese, but has pull tested where it should, and I have quite a bit of it in rigging and life support applications, without anything breaking. I'd rate it as "better than most of the other Chinese stuff I've tried" and it's quite inexpensive. Suncor stuff is a bit more, but better quality. As you said, the Wichard stuff is pricey.

All links stored for the next time I need them......if I can't find a particular piece of hardware in these links, there's at least a 50/50 chance that the piece does not exist or isn't manufactored anymore.......never knew speciality shackle selection was so limited! Thanks for the responses.
