I quoted it crazy high because I didn't want to do it. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the client is quite well off and didn't shop around. He wanted me from the start.$4000 profit, 2 guys, 1.5 days!? Wow. I'm impressed.

We installed our first drip irrigation systems this spring (did them at two separate properties). Really easy to install and didn't cost all that much. I was talking to my helper and said "maybe we should make a warranty contingent upon us installing irrigation with a timer then we could make it two years."You are correct, but I’ll bet my house the nurseries water those trees everyday to keep them alive.
I don’t offer a warranty because I have no idea if the customer will water the newly planted tree at an inch a week. It’s pretty obvious that they didn’t but you can’t prove it otherwise. So loss of money and time.
But I will say I haven’t lost any trees that I have planted for customers.
Good luckPS: I wonder if clients water trees better if there is no warranty?
Just onceI was just wondering if there is no warranty (and maybe even a higher price) does the mentality become I need to protect my investment. Vs. "I'm not gonna go out of my way to water it, they'll just replace it".
Do you offer multiple replacements or just once?
