Can I remove the rubber grommets from my Notch Rook?

I love the Notch Rook I just put on my bridge, except...It doesn't accept my Petzel or DMM biners without a bit of a struggle (and who needs to be fighting with their gear when they're up a tree?). My employer requires me to use these biners, otherwise I would go with my rock exoticas that slide in just fine. Is there any reason I can't just peel them little rubber grommets out?

It’s just an o-ring if I remember correctly. Shouldn’t be an issue.

Yes you can easily pry them out...I did that right away too...
