Cameron's memorial service

Cameron\'s memorial service

In order to give Cameron the respect he deserves we might have to cut through some political red tape. Apparently Haddonfeild already has a protocol in place for memorial tree planting. Their Web site states with a $1000 donation to the town they will select and plant the tree and put a tiny plaque on it. Well that's not gonna fly with me. I don't know what credentials the shade tree commission has. I'm sure they're are all good people including the public works department. There is a STC meeting Monday the 18th at 8 am. I will be attending to see if they can bend their rules a little. We have a CTE who is gonna hand select the tree. Also a soil test needs to be done. If we went with just donating the money to Haddonfeild they would just plant the tree and that's it. No ceremony or nothing. This needs to be the best tree planting in tree world. We want to dig the hole, place the stone, and have some time to reflect and share some good memories and funny stories about Cameron. I need as much support as possible.
I like to thank the people who already sent their donations and also the ones who didn't get a chance yet. I also want to thank the ones who really want to but can't due to their economic situation. Let's keep up the support I'm looking forward to meeting you at the memorial if your able to attend. The date will be determined as soon as it can be. Thank you.

Re: Cameron\'s memorial service

Just throwing this out there....Haddonfield is where he did a lot of work....But not where he is from..Perhaps something in his home town? they may be more open and / or receptive?? JUSt a thought....either way...

Re: Cameron\'s memorial service

Nobody in Haddonfeild said no yet. I spoke with some people that were really close to him. I asked that question. It was expressed to me how important and how much he loved Haddonfeild and that's what he would request if he was still on this earth and had a say. So I have no choice but to try my best to make this happen. I can't imagine getting a bad reception from the powers that be. I will attend STC meeting and plead my case and tell them from my heart how much love, care, and respect this tree will be selected and planted with.

Re: Cameron\'s memorial service

Thanks Dan no thanks needed. It wasn't a hard process so I don't want anybody thinking I had to cut through all this red tape. It was rather easy the folks at Haddonfeild STC were very welcoming and receptive to our cause. It only took an hour which I stated my business in 2 mins and they voted and that was it which totaled 5 mins top. The only reason I was there for an hour is because I just wanted to sit in and listen to the rest of the business going on. The people of Haddonfeild are very passionate about there trees.
