Hi, all:
I just picked up my very nice 2008 60TX (800 verified hours and owned only by the local reputable Gamma tree company). Of course, like the one most of you guys have, no remote control. I contacted Kurt, the owner of “autofeedplus.com” based in Michigan. They’re the people who made the original reverse action auto feed control system for wood chipper. I bought one of them and it’s great. After I bought my SC60TX, I started looking for options to get a remote control elsewhere from Vermeer. The Vermeer unit cost about $6000 installed (1500 for the hand held, 4000 for the in-machine unit plus labor). For me, price is not the only deal breaker. The switches used on the Vermeer remote are “soft” push button like the one on gas pumps. The ones Kurt uses for the Carlton 7015 are user toggle switches that can be replaced by user and those are the kind you want. He has 2 other people interested in getting a unit for sc60tx beside me. If you are like me, contact him to show your interest. The more people interested, the more likely he’ll commit resources for the development and the faster it will come to the market for us. Erwin

no one interested, Hah? I thought that this is exciting stuff. imagine a new remote control system that's a lot cheaper than the Vermeer original, AND bypasses the entire stupid, over-engineered, Vermeer computer junks in there once for all, directly controls the valves! Erwin

Yes guys. I’d like remote for my mini, remote start and kill for bucket truck and a robotic grundy too. But for now I need it for the stumper first. Thx for all ur emotional support, but let hope a few of the sc60tx people will come on board.

I just bought an SC60TX after my SC372 spun a couple of bearings (Grrrrr)! I had talked to Kurt, in Michigan a couple of times about fabricating a remote for my 372 which was more than a notion because it was a straight hydraulic machine. But now with the 60TX, I'm one who's looking for a good remote. Vermeer prices are ridiculously high, so I'm hoping Kurt will come to the rescue.

have you hadany luck finding a remote I’m also looking I bought a new 60 and remote doesn’t work more then 5 mins and goes offline then back on

It’s not an easy install. U have to have extensive knowledge on electronic. Because Kurt is a pain to deal with. The only option for people is to buy his remote for Carlton and wire it for sc60

no, my machine is 2008 model. u need to go to Vermeer and ask for electrical and hydraulic wiring diagram for ur machine or map out ur self and connect to kurt's remote receiver box.

It’s a good solid product. No question about it. U just have to be able to work with machines other than Carlton. If u want to depend on him to give u a plug n play kit, it’s almost not possible.

I have an ol 50tx dinosaur that I'd love to make remote, it's only a low hour unit , so I figure that's worth it. Wish I saw this post in 2018
