CA Results

It's because the person that was hired to correct your test has been on vacation for a couple of weeks. Then they got assigned to another project.

Just kidding :)

They don't have unlimited staff to do all of the test correcting. Think of how long it might take to do everything to correct the test. Right from getting the envelopes from the mail room to finally sending your notice out in the mail. Only parts of the process are fully automated. If things were set up in the ideal world your test sheets would come in one end of a machine and the letter wiht the results would pop out of the other end. In reality, there is a lot of manual steps in the process. Along with correcting CA tests they also take the CEU sign up sheets and disperse them to everyone's accounts. That must be a real challenge sometimes. At a session I attended on Friday some people used the wide tip felt marker that was on the table for nametags to sign the CEU sheet. And they expect someone to decipher that mess? It all takes more time.

When I took the CA test they we were allowed to crib the answers we used. then we could compare them to the ones on the wall outside. Even though I knew that I only missed a few questions I had no clue which domains they were in. I was on pins and needles til the results came back. They don't do that anymore though. Still an anxious time :)

Thanks Tom. I'm on pins and needles, it's only been about a week so far. I figured once they noticed my 100% score, they would have the results expedited to me via limo! /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

When they find the 100% scores those people are recruited as instructors for the next sessions test-prep classes. I think that I did hear that the instructors get a ride to the training sessions in a limo...

No Tom, the 100%s are set aside and after a 'cooling' off period (6-12 months) are forced to take the Board Master Cert. Only after successfully passing that are they given the Cert. Arborist cert.
