This is far fetched but maybe someone has an idea re a question I have...I use a B'ham Pinnacle, I know, way dinasaurish, but I like it and its comfortable....but I experimented with a bridge type saddle to gain the greater freedom of movement, by tying a rope bridge between the 2 front Dees...it worked well in most every respect except the climbing knot and hardware were too high up (head level). Any good ways to get the gear lower and still have the bridge arrangement? I could just buy a B'fly, but again this saddle I'm used to and its comfortable. I wonder if B'ham would resew it so the Dees would be farther apart which would get the gear lower?

Cory, are you asking if you could send your saddle back to buckingham so they can adjust the position of the dees? Good luck with that venture!

Maybe time to get a new one.

[RANT]That is one thing I think the ness has over the Bfly. On the ness left I had a ditty bag from sherrill on the little ring. On the right I had 2 biners in the biner pass throughs that kept the biners from swinging/flopping around. I kept my handsaw on the first one, saw on the second, and it worked like a charm.

On the Bfly the ditty is in the same place, the saw hangs off the ring, handsaw off the friggin D. I dont like that, but there isnt much other option. I am going to try the right gear loop on the back, different but it might be what I want.

What I see as the best saddle would be the Bfly's wider and stiffer back pad with the quick buckles all around. The ness's gear pass throughs behind the D's and allow the D's to swing please, like on the ness. The gear loops on the back are rarely used, but even less in the way, so I say keep those.

On the leg pads, something wider like the nesses would be nice for us big guys with heavier weights, a bit wider and stiff enough they dont just fold over, you understand.

Thats all I want! Sheez you would figure they would have pass throughs on a 270 dollar saddle thats supposed to be the best!

Thats what I call a pass through, am I missing something large on my BFly? There is a place right near the D, but its too close to be used as a pass through as it jams into the D and I am afraid in the heat of the moment I might click into it instead of the D.
