Butterfly II Saddle

Here is the back to that saddle

Personally I'm 99% sure my next saddle is the Tree Austria 3. Wesspur, American Arborist, and Fresco sell it. Not sure if anyone carries the Morpho in the US

has anyone come up with a way to replace the TA bridge?

could you just cut it off and replace it with a rope bridge?

that Morpho saddle looks like a very comfortable saddle...it is pretty pricey in euros and I can only imagine what that means in american dollars....if you were to buy it with a credit card does it do the conversions all on its own? I am just curious...because i dont have one.

also I like the back of that saddle...those 4 shackles i think they are called isnt that bad of an idea...also seems to be an easy reach area

that morpho looks like a suped up butterfly to me a little different bridge attachments. i bet it will have the same durability issues

This tree care belt [Morpho] offers next to its Innovative design [...]
Automatic distribution of the pressure between leg loop and back support.[...]

Duh, "automatic?" Each shackle link is simply suspended between two loops and one end of the bridge, right? They don't allow the bridge to slide around, right? Isn't that identical to the BF2?

no the bf 2 only has one set of shackle points (which on mine wore out inside 4 months). the morpho has six sets of shackle points. same design i bet the tubing around the padding will come off the grear loops will break-faster.
its the same but different. although the butterfly is an awesome competition saddle. its just not made to last a working arboist. try a buckingham ergovation. i'm rough on my junk and my master 2 is 5 mounts old and still looks brand new (i climb every day and i'm very hard on s__t) their stuff just holds up. i know a guy that still climbs in a pinnicle thats like 6 or 7 years old. it looks better than my butterfly did after 4 months. the bf 2 is a comp saddle no more no less. just my $.02

What version? I can tell you about 1-2 in PM. Version 3 you just cut and replace with a rope bridge.

Hey man wtf? All I did was translate what was said on the site. I could of left it in German so your silly butt would be scratching your head wondering what it said.

As for the bridge it should move around quite a bit, those 2 red loops will allow it too.

As for a Buckingham saddle, you'er joking right? Why not just tie a cinder block to your hips and climb with that all day.

i hear ya. i just feel if i'm going to pay $250 for a saddle it should hold up more than 4 months. just my two cents worth

I really wish companies would go for the anzi rating on saddles like the BFII did. It would make my life a lot easier finding a comfy saddle.

I've had my bfII for over two years, and it's holding up very well. I've had no wear issues and stitching is fine. Replaced the bridge a few times tho. I guess I'm pretty light on my gear. also, i weigh bout 140 lbs.

It's all about how you care for it.

I like being able to take the bridge loose and add stuff, like a swivel. I put an ISC Swivel Captive Eye 'biner directly on the bridge. Lets me swivel 360 under a Traverse without twisting the bridge or my lines, and lets me un-twist my DdR from the saddle rather than relying on a swivel at the TIP.

Mine is a Dragonfly. Same as BFII, but batten seat.

Look pretty different to me

Well, to me it looked like the same basic scheme -- the same geometry. I mean each end of the bridge attaches to a metal ring which is suspended by straps from two other metal rings. Different type of strap and different type of ring -- but I didn't notice the leg loops are totally independent on the Morpho. That is different I admit.
