As far as movement in the boom.
With a non elevator rear mount, the boom is mounted to the turret, which is mounted directly to the truck. All you get is boom movement.
With an elevator unit the boom is still mounted to the turret, but the turret is then mounted to the elevator. The elevators are NOT solid like the truck. They have some sway built into their design. This can be felt whether the elevator is up or down.
Its like a boom on a crane, or boom truck. They are not stiff they have some flex to them.
