Bucket operator needed immediately for project in North Alabama. Must have Class B CDL (if not, must be able to pass a DOT physical). We have one non-CDL truck that we might put on this project. Must be capable, experienced, and "Careful" (especially with the equipment-abuse will result in immediate termination). Lodging, food, and fuel(for personal vehicle) will be provided. Pay will start at $240/day and increase based on skill and working capability. If you "smoke like a furnace" or love to finish the day with "a few drinks", please do not respond. Thanks! hmmm actually I hear a lot of that, Employers interested in really athletic workers who don't smoke and can keep their drinking in moderation. Wish I was available and hope you find your person.
 
I personally do not smoke or drink nor do I care for either, but I do have two employees that smoke (just not in my company vehicles, in my face, or around our customers). So, I do allow it. I am though tired of the "one handed worker" who has a cigarette handicapped hand. Now for the drinking. If you want to have a "couple" at the end of the day, that is your business. If though, you're still "red eyed" and stumbly when you report to work, that is another. But YES, as employers who are paying a LOT for health insurance we are TIRED of funding care for totally avoidable health issues! And yes, that includes being overweight as well. We only get one body- take care of the darn thing!
 
When I smoked, eons ago, I had an employer approach me and very politely say..."Kristian you're an excellent worker but I pay you for 8-12 hours for the use of BOTH of your hands." It made such perfect sense to me. I knew my days of smoking were numbered.
