Brought my 020T back to life

Finally got around to replacing the handle on my 020T. It took a fall onto frozen ground a few years ago which busted the fuel tank, spark plug broke in half, the handle cracked and a few other parts broke. I replaced the fuel tank with one of an MS200T after it happened and electric taped the cracked handle. The handle eventually broke completely so it had been sitting for a while out of use.
Yesterday I transplanted a handle and a few other parts off another 200T. Was a bit of a pain in the a$$, but happy I finally got it done. Good time to clean up the carb too

Still have my original 020T (1994), for which I traded in an 020. Great running saw.

It has a slow chain oil leak if left in storage for a long time.
My dealer has never been able to fix it.

Any suggestions ?

LOL sell it to me Greg and ill fix it(actually im serious)...I had an 020t roughly ten years ago(ran over by crane) and a heap of 200t's since...But I hate flippy caps and have always wanted my old 020t back,I honestly think it ran better than any 200 ive had since...

Steve,

I really like the 020T & will keep it.
It is slightly lighter than the 020.

But the 020 may have been a better running, consistant saw.

What do you think will fix the slow chain oil leak?

Thanks & Ciao for Now !

bar and chain back on and done....for now, still need to clean it all out good with the air compressor and swap in a few other newer parts

Thanks Steve. I bought this saw back in 1999, it has always run strong without any problems, with the exception of when it hit the frozen ground from about 40'. Even then I put the broken spark plug back in place (the boot held it together) and with the remaining fuel in the lines it started right up. If I could get a new 020t in the box, I'd buy it instead of a newer model. Sure I could find a decent used one though.

But this one is back to work and have no doubt it will continue run strong as always
