Broken aluminum ring

That's kind of what I was getting at. Call me lazy or un-confident; I'd rather have the option to buy a fancy pants steel AFS. Whether it be the friction saver prussic to use w/ Buckingham's steel ring to ring or a rope version like Sherill makes. I still should know how to splice rope...I know... I guess I'm lazy.

You should call John to be certain but I think these are made by CT (Climbing Technology). The steel ones are marked "Made in Italy" with no rating. I can't say about the aluminum ones.

CT makes good stuff. It's KONG you need to strike off your buy list.
