Ahh ic. Thank you. So that must mean Wesspur was unhappy with Iron Street's sewn numbers.
I double checked what i thought i had seen on Teufelberger's site & oddly enough they have posted MBS's on Sewn terminations, which to me looked like a pretty acceptable strength loss ratio. 7/16 was 6900 & the 1/2 was something like 8200..
Which says to me, one of two things. T-bergs # are wrong (which i would want to hope are accurate)... Or the unacceptable difference Wesspur/Iron Steet saw had to have something to do with their chosen sewing method/pattern not being as effective...? But that's just me making a quick speculation here..

I look forward to a video Gordon. While descending SRT are you controlling with both sets of nubs, or just the lower set using the top like a wrench?

Yes, it seems to be as you say. In SRT it works to use the middle arm, much like a hitch below the fully engaged top arm, while in MRS you may well need to have the middle arm fully released, while feathering the top arm, which can be done with one hand.

So what's the intended purpose with this model? Is it kinda blurring the lines between a lanyard adjuster & an actual climbing device?
Is this the next step up from the Adjustable Bola? What was the general consensus on the adjustable?

Whoa! It's been a while since I checked in on this and the progress is wild. Very cool
Joey I think it does just as you say, it blurs the line. There are no users of either the SRT/MRS BOLA, nor the adjustable BOLA. I think tho that the regular BOLA works much the same and is lighter. As for the SRT/MRS BOLA, I have moved on to the compact Bulldog OAR design, which is also lighter. There are 2 users of the compact OAR, and both have given positive feedback. The NZ user says that he uses it on his hook line, and not his primary line. (He uses a Bulldog Bone for his primary line)
I think It is a very interesting design, and I find it is helped as far as gripiness with a pin or bolt through the center. It needs a bit of retooling with regard to the thickness on the aluminum pieces, which sadly would be costly. I think tho that its best (only?) application would be as a lanyard adjuster.
