Bluemoon? What the word on the street?

Probably cause he works hard. Nothing wrong with being hard on equipment as long as your working hard. Its what its there for.

Yeah your right.

I guess mine is in such good shape from screwing the pooch.

Thats right you have to get up there and burn down a couple times till we can consider you a good climber! I like to run a new rope through a tight crotch till its ripped up a bit. That way i look like a better climber

So has anyone used bluemoon with a tautline hitch? If so how well does it perform without a friction saver?i currently climb on saftey blue from new england but i'd like to get another line.

I think if would give an eye and eye split tale a go, you would be pleased. I think the Distel is a great hitch to begin with very easy to tie. imo acts similar to a tautline.

here is a link to An Overview of Climbing Hitches By Mark Adams great read very informative

Thanks for the link,i tried the distel, the vt,martin, icicle, blakes, and still go back to the tautline.I just like it,never fails me and performs just fine for me.

top, I am not hard on my equipment, at least I don't think so. I don't burn down the line on descents. It just didn't hold up is all. Or maybe I'm lieing. Just think of the advantages that would give me.

Like I said before. I'm going to buy another, probably ruin it, complain about it again then purchase once again.
