I have a set of steel bashlins with pole gaffs that are at least 20 years old if not 25 that I use for everything. Once in a while they will kick out on thick bark like loblolly but are great for stuff like hickory and sugar maple. I may order a powerscender when they become available just to try. Don't do that many removals anymore.
