I wear gloves … because I love my wife and my guitar. I buy these (link below) by the dozen. They have a 'grippy' palm to grab the rope & gear and a soft, absorbent back to wipe my face.

I climb mostly srt. I switch between a bulldog bone, hh2, and wrench. Mrs would probably beat up gloves more, but depends on how you tend your hitch. I like a hand full of hitch cord and very little climbing line contact with my hand. I also wear these gloves for ground work of all kinds, but I try not to run ropes with them, although I have had to grab a rigging line on occation while wearing them.I’ve tried to copy a link but can’t find a way to do so.
I’m going to try a pair anyway as you seem a man who’d know a good glove [emoji6]
Just out of interest, what climbing method do you prefer as some obviously are more glove wearing than others?

I have never worn gloves in my life. Always hated them. Even when I was logging full-time and playing with cable all day. Those gloves look like something I would be willing to try for climbing.
I don't know why i haven't tried cutting the tips like some of you have, i guess I've always expected the glove to unravel directly after.. Maybe not?? Anyone ever try cutting with a hot knife?
They are reasonably durable, but I'd imagine they would not hold up for more than a couple of weeks of Heavy work use, I'd say they last about as long as normal work gloves. How do they hold up Jan? Do they last any longer than latex or nitrel gloves?

These cut resistant ones hold up better than the normal ones. When the neoprene starts to wear off they get retired to ground duty.SAAAY What? 2 months!!
My fav......gloves

Right.. i would imagine the cut resistance ones would hold up a bit better.. but two months? For real?
Ffs why don't you all give them a try and see for yourselves. Unless you have gtfo with your noise. I have a couple pair in rotation at a time. It's hard to say if its precisely 2 months on the dot. But this pair has been kicking around for a long time. Gasp maybe its only been 6 or 7 weeks. Would you like me to date them and keep track for you? Go ahead and hold your breath while I do that. I think it's time for me to give myself a little treebuzz vacation.
Who? Marten Penrose.....I climb alongside a guy who has 1 hand ... pretty bad-ass climber.
