Best Climbing Ropes Similar to Poison Ivy

Currently have Poison Ivy climbing rope and my main device I climb with is a ZigZag.

Eventually I may order another rope. I’d prefer same strand and size as poison ivy.

What do you guy’s like and if you’ve used poison ivy before how does what you’re using now compare to the poison ivy?

Most likely my two picks for where to order from would be TreeStuff or Sherrill Tree.

I know a lot of them are similar, I was just curious what you all were using and if you noticed any differences besides the different colors lol.

I wonder how many color variations there are of that rope? A bunch.

Blue Moon seems to be the hot seller. Aztec, Arrow Frog, Prism, Calamine, Blue Tongue, Focus, etc. All the same stuff so long as it’s not the CE stuff which I think you’ll get if you order from some overseas countries. I hear there’s subtle differences, but it’s all the same ratings, materials, and manufacturing process.

Thats a sweet price on spliced HyperClimb that NJDelaney mentioned. It’s nice stuff, I bought a 150’ for my girlfriend and I tried it for a couple hours of work climbing. I’m sure it’ll be nicer with the Akimbo after it gets a little more worn.

Still on XStatic and Fly. Fly is tough rope, and not very stretchy, I really like it.

I have Bluemoon, Focus, Prism, and Hyperclimb. Hyperclimb is not the same. It is all polyester, so less bounce when ascending srs. It also seems slicker and thinner (very slightly) to me.
