Bent chainsaw blades

If you have a gentle hand and a bar that isn't too tweaked you might be able to straighten the bar.

Bridging the bar on the bed of a press works. Go slow or you might kink the bar or have it delaminate.

Keep a straight edge/four foot level at hand to check

Perhaps being in France has something to do with it, meaning that he meant bar but came out blade, but was lost in translation???? If he were American, then proceed with the program already in progress.

For you americanos, check out www.chainbar.com. If you have a few bars, shipping may not kill ya. They're in Oregon, and do great work...and can make most bars like new....they straighten, true, and regroove. Cheap.

They don't do chainsaw blades though....or any blades, even that gay blade Robin Hood.

Yeah yeah , ok The BAR. Whats in a word hey. A blade seemed a good word for it. Anyhow i am holding on to my old bars and little by little the pile is getting bigger. I have been trying to bend them strait but to no avail. It is one of those things sticking in the back of my mind "got to find some thing to do with those old bars".

I have been trying to find a steel workshop who makes use of a heavy rolling-mill. Anybody got experience in putting bars true a few tons of pressure?
