Bend Right Rigging Ring

That's what i was thinking as well.. the two headed..

I think Brock would be a better candidate to explain it though.. or possibly @Boomslang ... Is that his correct handle?

Here's a diagram i screenshotted a while back.

Holy! It's been a while since I've seen that. Curious if anyone every made one of these and used it in the field? Did it hold up? Any issues? I never actually got around to using mine up in a tree.

Found the wider Arbpro rigging rings, was hoping they had a full radius like the Bend Right ring’s, but they have a flat section, about a half an inch. So its actual radius is smaller than a medium XRR.D0C69DF6-6EC4-48C0-AD3A-8F3A50390E6B.webp

The Arbpro has an approximate 17mm of radius, the medium XRR is 22mm, the small is 15mm.
I got the Arbpro ring and some of the 9.1 hitch cord, there was a few dollars more for taxes, and no additional charges for shipping. It only took two days to come from Italy also!

So this thing looks pretty cool. Do you think that eye slings will be made specifically so that the Ring is kept tight with no play? Would a standard sling wrapped in each groove be sufficient? Would Negative Rigging with just one ring be pushing limits??
Bit late to the party on this one. But yes, Bend Right Rings are designed to be used for negative rigging with just one ring. The bend radius is 4:1 with a 9/16 rigging rope. As for sling options, you can have them splice with the double leg style. Alternatively, you can also just get any sling with a 12 inch eye and girth hitch the ring in. Keep in mind a girth hitch takes some of the strength from your sling.

Wow, where did you find that wooden one on the left? It's a blend of natural crotch and new era rigging!

What is the preferred sling diameter for the girth hitch application? @Muggs you said you have 3, what are your thoughts on sling dimensions?

Posting this here for posterity. Bend-Right Deadeye sling splice. I pulled apart an older, well-worn sling to figure this out. This is identical to the professional one as far as I can tell. The colors on the green sling in the pictures look off because this was a lightly used ultra sling that I pulled apart, to re-use for this project. Hopefully this makes sense to others. I think most people just use Bend-Rights girth hitched on a large eye sling. I've done that before but I prefer this splice.

Perhaps I'm being a touch pedantic, but why isn't the bend right ring just machined with a single groove? Make the sidewalls thicker and have a groove right down the middle to fit say a 5/8 sling.
