I think a comfy rock climbing harness is great for rec climbing. not comfy for swinging in all day but for sleeping in a hammaock perfect. plus they are light and portable. I would say for ocasional rec climbing, a good trad harness and 150 feet of 16 strand so you can natural crotch. you need a lanyard of some kind to. a foot locking pussic and two throwlines and four throwbags. your all set. 200-300 bucks and your ready to go.
