I got a bee sting on the hand yesterday while I was taking a pee. It hit me by surprise but when I looked down I realized I was standing over the nest. This is not the first time that this has happened . You can bet before I unzip I look down to see if their is a nest in the ground. Lesson learned the hard way.
The hand is still swollen and begining to itch. Still can't make a fist. Take it easy and enjoy a good Shigo book while your on the mend.

One of the fun things I get to do is remove hornets/bees/wasps nests from city trees. I usually spray 'em early in the am and go back and get 'em the next day. This year I only got bit three times on the same nest...white faced hornets are the worst, they take a chunk!

Buy a better bee suit OTG, they're only a couple hundred bucks.

Man, I hope i never meet a white faced hornet they sound nasty. We must not have'em down here, I never even heard of them until a year ago.

Kinda funny that I'm reading this thread. I'm sitting with an ice pack on my knee after getting stung a few times today by a yellow jacket that decided to fly up my pant leg. It's amazing how something so small can hurt so much. My knee is proably twice the size of the other and it hurts just to move it.

goodaking - I hope your meds are working. If my knee hurts this much, I cant imagine how your hand must be feeling.
