The attached photo shows 3 examples of what you are talking about. Two of them are well used and the third is one I made this morning just to refresh my memory. There is no on-line video of how to do these splices that I am aware of. But if you know how to do a Class 1 double-braid splice in polyester rope, then you have what you need. The only difference is that you do a long fid bury of the core above the eye. For the cover taper the 5-5 pattern is fine. Although these splices do protect the core strands, they are a bit fatter than the naked splice with a Brummel which can make it a bit difficult if you are trying to cram both eyes in between the jaws of a Pinto pulley. If you want to make one of these that is 28" long, do the first eye splice and lock-stitch it so it can't move. Then cut the cord off 39" from the end of the eye to do the second eye. Do good lock-stitching!The middle eye splice is what I'm looking for. Which of the"MANY" instruction videos shows how to do the middle one ? Thanks !
