I'm holding Obama accountable to signing statements, forests, medicine and health care, the environment, Iraq, Afghanistan and foreign policy. He's got a long way to go yet has wabbled on pandering to elements of the right. One of the first things he's delivered on is transparency and access to policy boards, which I read and respond to daily.
As an ex-Federal employee, I have professional associations that remain in policy-level decision bodies, open for redress and input on govt. matters, not at all like it's been the last eight totalitarian years. Agencies and the White House are asking for opinions and reading the ideas from former dept. workers and others, just tap change.gov and find out more detailed truths about both the problems and combined solutions, and add your two cents worth but please, get educated more on the issues other than mirrored rants from the organized opposition of ad nauseum politics as they were.
This government he's set-up is far more democratic therefore, than the GOP of the past - top down and monied by special interests. That's why I don't appreciate your rants of socialism/communism...it's democracy in it's returned finest unlike we've seen in Washington for decades. It requires input from us all, it always has but lazy greed-riddled get-rich-quick philosophies of "Moran"-spouting ignorant jerks has divided the nation, Bush and Rush see to that and that's the problem...not a solution.
Again, I'm doing what little I can to keep an eye on what my interests and those of larger concerns need vigilance on, it's a democracy again.
