Bandit 255

we have the option to buy a bandit 255. JD diesel, winch auto feed. Machines clean and price is right. Never had a disk chipper before so just looking to hear from anyone who has experience with this model.

Was there a raved about model up from the Bandit 250 called a 280? Or am I remembering wrong and the 255 is the far more capable upgrade model???

280xp is a also a great chipper bigger then 255xp . I had one very heavy great for light land clearing and large removals. the 255xp replaced the 254xp.

buddy went to a 255 and has never looked back from his older 250. very solid 15" chipper. i prefer drum but nothing throws chips like a disk

Made an offer today so we shall see.......I was looking for an 1890 but couldn't seem to find the right one. I can't see passing this deal up but that being said about the 280, I'll definitely consider that option as well!
