Bandit 250xp auto feed not working

The auto feed on this chipper stopped working. Notice the rpm reading 0000 on the IEC diagnostic controller. Is this an issue with the IEC controller or the tach sensor. I have cleaned the sensor and adjusted it. I have ohm the wiring from the controller to the solenoids. All wiring seems intact. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had to replace the tach sensor on my Bandit 150XP when I first got it. Unfortunately I had to buy it through a Bandit parts dealer since all I had was their part number. But when I got it, I googled the generic part number on the sensor and realized I could have bought the same thing for a quarter of the price. Cheap and easy fix if you can do it that way and certainly worth ruling out before replacing the controller.

904-0009-21 is the bandit part number for my machine.

Mine is an older model so definitely a different sensor. But maybe try searching for a mag pick up based on your engine model, then confirm the length and threading and I bet you’ll find one for half the price or less. You may have to wire the plug from the old one on though (which I had to do anyway even after buying the part from a Bandit dealer).
