Bandit 1890 behind forestry body, is there enough clearance

Currently have a 250xp behind my international bucket truck forestry body, I’d like to confirm whether or not a newer chipper 1890xp specifically will have the clearance under the rear boom. Please see the attached photo. The bottom of my boom is at 9’6” in height. And extends 8 feet past the pintle hitch,

I’ve been unable to pick up the specs of the 1890 anywhere with regards to total height or the distance the end of the discharge chute is in back of the pintle hitch, the height of my 250 XP is 8.5 feet and there’s never a problem unless I’m going into a ridiculous driveway

I would prefer not to to require rotating to shoot backwards whenever the chipper is in tow.

Not sure, but for some of their models, there’s tongue extension kits made by Bandit Industries.

Bandit does have tongue extensions available for some of their machines, and others have telescopic tongues (we have one of those); I know a company pulling an 18XP behind a forestry combo, but his truck is newer and has less boom behind the bucket; it may also be taller, I don’t know.

For your reference, the 18XP is listed as 8’ 8” tall, so the 1890 is probably similar. A chipper with a torsion axle is a few inches shorter than the same machine with a leaf spring axle; something to consider in your search. You could also go look at an 1890 and take along a level and tape measure to check the height yourself.

Edit: Definitely take a tape measure. I found an old spec sheet that lists the height at 9’ 3” for the 1890, and another that says it’s 8’ 10” tall.

I owned a ALC forestry truck and pulled a 18r Morbark and we turned the chute around when ever we were done chipping or even to move the truck because if you drive through a dip or even a speed bump you will damage the chute and the cylinder on the lower boom we the deflector off the end of our chute once from someone not following the rules

If I remember correctly we had to lower the shoot to the lowest setting also
But worked out great for 10 years
You can also adjust your pintle ring for more adjustment

I did just call the seller and apparently the unit is out at paint and will not be back for a week. I was unable to get the specific measurements I’m looking for, as they do not have access to the machine. Any further help would be tremendous.

Good feedback about shoot rotation and possibly a reasonable solution would be to rotate while in transportation providing the 1890 will clear my lower boom while on flat ground when the shoot is facing forward during clean up.
i’m not exactly sure where the 8’ point is on the chipper when measuring from the center of the pintle back towards the engine.

If anyone has access to an early model, 1890 “longer version” I would love a photograph to see where a measurement of 8’ sits on that unit when measuring from the pintle back towards the engine.
Additionally
the height of the machine at 8 feet back from the center of the pintle with the shoot in the lowest position,
