Bag o rope identification

So as I am just getting interested in splicing, I have a lot to learn. I was unaware of a float test, I thought it cut pretty easily. And does not float.

My only current source on how to splice is YouTube and Google. So I may have more questions coming. Thanks for the info, it's much appreciated

Reed, you are always amazing me, I didn't think that anyone else did the float test! I had an older gentleman from St. Louis, teach me that step of splicing, I'm also pretty sure that he sells rope pieces to TreeStuff. This guy also spins over a 1/2 dozen different ropes. Huge factory, with miles of different types of ropes. Just thought I'd throw that at you!

Isn't there also a burn test? DO NOT TAKE THESE WORDS TO HEART. I think polyester will melt but not hold a flame, and nylon will melt and hold a flame. Some of the tech fibers will char and others wont do much.

So to this point I have spliced up a couple of light duty slings.
A loopie
A whoopie with my rig n wrench
An infinity loop Bc I lost the foot strap for my SAKA
And a small ultra sling.

The loopie and the ultra sling may not see much action because of the working load of this material, but I wanted to try to make them. What other uses would anyone have for this? Until I can order some larger sizes and possibly some rings.

Digging up an old thread instead of starting a new one. Just purchased a new Bag o' Rope and having trouble IDing several of the ropes.

I know that #2 is 1/2" Sterling HTP and ~~I'm leaning towards Sterling RIT 8mm for #5 on appearance alone. However #5 measures a diameter of 1/4" which is 6.35mm~~. I found #5 on Sterlings website, it is 6mm xtec. #4 is a Sterling rope as well, the core is milking out a little and there is a plastic strip in the core stating the manufacturer and manufactured date.

I've looked through all of the ropes on Treestuff's website but I'm not having much luck matching these ropes to the images there.

My measurements on diameter were done by eyeballing on a tape measure with zero tension on the line, so there is room for error.

Edit: updating info as I find it. #6 is another Sterling 6.8mm TVac.
