Avant loaders

What did you not like about it?

I felt it to be between a mini & a full size loader. Great Machines for Tree work but not right for me.

I went with a loader & have access to a mini.

I try to load logs so the full size loader made more sense for me.

Thanks. That's encouraging.
I like the Avant 528 - ticks alot of boxes for my operation. But Im not seeing many down comments on them (relative to battle hardened Mini designs) - so Im just probing for a balanced view.

I always google "problems with......" before I buy something important. Then I traveled seven hours to see one in person.....then I bought a 528. I don't have a lot of time on mine though. With a BMG learning curve is really short.

Thanks Merle. I did so. And was very impressed with the test drive.

Thanks Merle. I did both. And was very impressed with how it operated on the test.

"Tractive power" I believe it's called is one of Avants weaknesses in my opinion. The ability of the machine to push or pull a load.

I believe Dave spoke of heavy duty hydraulic wheel motors being available on the Avant or another machine. HD motors would sure be interesting to me if I knew they were available and I was buying.

(Possibly not HD.....but I remember more force could be delivered to the wheels. More flow at higher force?)

My 420 is no joke it's powerful enough for residential tree work it's not a land clearing machine although I have cleared a few lots with my 420
