asv skid steer hydraulic issues

ASV rc 50 skid steer hydraulics were locking up, as in the machine would be moving then abruptly stop , or hesitate for a moment, causing a hard jerking movement. That was a few jobs back.. Started hesitating again today briefly, then the hydraulics just gave up. No drive or bucket controls.. I had to turn it off then let it sit. Start it and would have hydraulics for a few seconds, before she would quit.. You could feel the handle controls go limp when the hydraulics quit, like there was no pressure needed to move the handles..
Managed to get it back on the trailer.
Any thoughts?

the issue started when a newbie op flipped the machine on its back. She lost a lot of hydraulic oil. Wondering if running it low on oil could have burned up the pump...

Appreciate your help.

If you ran the pump dry there should be some evidence of that in the hydraulic filters. Pull them and cut them open and look for brass. I think it’s brass.

I had an asv 70 for about five years. Sold it for an articulating loader. Let us know how this goes because most of what’s in the guts of those asv‘s is just cat parts. Rexroth pumps and perkapillar engines.

Like @dirter said, take a look at the seat switch. We had the bottom part of the seat itself crack and it would intermittently relax the pressure on the seat switch and lock up the parking brake. Rather exciting when you’re plowing and it’s 2 AM and it locks up in reverse at full speed. Stands you right up on it’s tail end and sure wakes you up!
