Ascent Event: Is this setup (Doubled Ascender + SRT line) allowed?

Hi, fellow members!
Been looking around for more info, but can't seem to find confident answer: Is this setup demonstrated in this video by Bartlett Arborist Supply allowed in Ascent Event, if set up on two ropes -both tied at hub? Is it valid without knot? Does it count as backed up, as it is installed on two lines?

Very interesting article and I tend to believe that lowest Illustration makes the most sense - that it would be considered a good practice to be used with knot above it - but with that it looses the fast set - up time and seems no way it can beat TAZ.

Yeah, It's really difficult to come up with anything to beat TAZ. I tried it the first year the Ascent Event was introduced but eventually I gave up and bought the TAZ even though I use it just for competitions.

I tried the LOV3 - it is ridiculous how fast it can be set up! On the third try I could attach it, knee and foot ascender in 9.77 secs! What rope do You use and what do You use for backup?

That's impressive! I ascend frog style, my hand ascender is connected to my harness for backup. I'm quite happy with Edelrid static low stretch 10.5 rope.
