ARS pole saw

Be careful. They will rape you on replacement parts. Mine is hanging broken in the shop. The best thing about the ars is the blade.

North of Toronto (Midland). My partner and I actually bought the Stihl version which I think is probably made by ARS. Dropped mine last time out and have the lower two sections bolted together. We have the 16' pole and would like the 20'. Like one reply said the prices are high. Thanks for the input.

Why do you like the Silky better? I found the ARS or Barnel to be still rigid at 16' is the Silky as good or better?
PS Any info on SIP or Stretch air pants available in Canada?

I find my zubat pole (16' I think) is fine at length. it is rigid in the direction it is supposed to be (up and down) and sorta rigid in the side to side profile. The ARS pole I tried out (at a trade show, not in a tree) seemed heavier and the blade was just not quite as keen as the zubat. I also have the insurance that if I am rough enough to break the blade, I can pull the blade out of my handsaw (also a zubat) and slap it in the pole in about 2 minutes or less to be able to finish the job at hand without a run to the store.
