Arborwear

I've been happy with my AW pants and have used and abused them. When they're done as tree work pants they become my Jeeping pants. AW even offered to send me a free pair to wear in my wedding (and I lost the guys e-mail, DOH!!) My AW winter jacket is AWESOME!! Sometimes it's hard to find stuff made in the US. I never would have originally bought my Zenith cutter knives for my Brush Bandit if I had known they were made in Vietnam but as it turns out they seem to hold up better than the ones Bandit was selling me...but thats another thread I guess...

Check these folks out for 'made in America' clothing. Clothing made by prisoners at Pelican Bay correctional institute in Oregon.

I have some of their Hickory Shirts. Best I have ever bought.

Their motto is, 'Made on the inside for wearing on the outside', and, 'Made to do hard time'.

-sorry for the de-rail.... :)

A good use of their time!!! Maybe some more companies should look into this!

I got a pm explaining the history of Arborwear and how they ended up with a made in china tag. I would also like it to be known this company stands behind their product and does have integrity(which I questioned in a prior post). The base of my rant came from two things. In the last 10 yrs. 5 major companies closed their plants and outsourced. This is in a 50 mile radious. When this many good paying jobs are lost it hurts everyone bad. The second is record high heat. As stated in my pm back the tech pants are keeping me dry sorry I lost my cool. Thanks Tom
