Lots of opportunities to present that history from different directions.

A good straightforward history was writted by Dr. Richard J. Campana (1918-2005) and published in 1999 by Michigan State University Press.

He was a long-time faculty member of the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Maine in Orono and was a real pioneer in treatments (including injections) for Dutch Elm Disease.
