Anvil adjustment on 65xp

I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea how to go about checking the anvil? I looked in the manual that came with the chipper but it's not really clear.
 
If you're wondering if it needs to be sharpened you might have to take it out and look at it, probably not a bad idea to turn it to a new edge.

As far as clearance from the knives, I've always moved it as close to the knives as possible without actually touching them.
 
Pretty simple. Jack up the feed wheel, stick a feeler guage in between the knife and anvil, I wanna say it was .010 or something, but my 0's might be missing.
