Another fatalilty.

I work with many hispanics (a few who speak almost no english and some who speak fluently) Every morning when we get to the garage we all circle up for the morning stretch and the days job overviews. We discuss what hazards are there, any speciel equipment that might be required and put people into crews. The morning stretch and discussion is extremely effective in wakeing people up and getting them safety concious for the day. We aren't running around getting a bunch of equipment ready...we are all on the same page and I can definitly see a positive result when we actually get to the job. It also helps us to work more like a team and the stretching is done for the obvious strenuous work we do. Maybe some of you could use that idea in your businesses and see how it works for you...Or share some morning routines of your own.

A First Aid instructor of mine said that "common sense is the practical application of everything you know."

If someone wasn't taught not to boot-stuff the chipper how are they going to not do it? The first time I ever saw a boot-stuffer was in Glenwood Springs, CO in '78. Nothing new...
