Anchor Bridge recall for Cougar saddle bridge

very kryptic. whats going on? rings, bridges, what next? by the way I was just at arboristsite.com and I saw no notice of this recall over there. maybe i want looking for it. but This sounds like something that you shouldn't have to look for. I feel sick to my stomach.

Woah, incorrectly spliced? Rich hurt? 2 people hurt? What the heck are you guys reading? Is this how rumors get started? I wrote nothing like that.

No reported injury.
Rich's splice not involved (in first incident for certain).
Bridge rope spliced by Rich sourced from All Gear
Splice supplier (Rich) not seemingly seeking widespread professional opinion on failure before announcing "recall action". Turns out his call was appropriate move.
Pointing finger cold and holstered

Latest news 9.1.10;

Rope supplier for bridge is adjusting to blend of materials used for many years by another harness manufacturer without incident. Seems a logical move. Small allotment of finished replacements leaving Weaver Friday.

Weaver has reconsidered the services of Rich Hattier to splice the new material and since his craftsmanship had nothing to do with incident will hopefully engage his help in resupplying Cougar owners. I cheer their decision.

SherrillTree is busy contacting all Cougar buyers (along with regular course of business) in our database to warn of RECALL. Certified mail will issue soon with triple efforts where possible.

To safety in tree care
