We are looking for an arborist that is passionate about trees and is excited about providing the highest quality and most advanced Plant Health Care techniques. We emphasize sustainable and organic approaches when possible. We are based in beautiful Brevard, NC and service Asheville and the surrounding Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina mountain areas. The ideal candidate will:
-Have atleast a two year degree in horticulture, arboriculture, landscape contracting or related field. A 4 year degree or graduate degree is preferred.
-Must be an ISA Certified Arborist for atleast 2 years. BCMA preferred.
-Have atleast 2 years Plant Health Care Experience
-Enjoy working outside in a variety of weather and work settings
-Must exude professionalism, be well spoken, and personable
-Be familiar with organic plant healthcare practices, arborjet tree injection processes, insect and disease lifecycles, soil care, and air spade/air knife practices
-Have excellent ornamental tree and shrub ID and basic understanding of woody forest species
-Drug Free
-Willingness to participate in the sales and business growth, particularly in the off season
-Willingness to lead and participate in community service projects and initiatives
-Ability to obtain both NC and SC pesticide applicator licenses within 60 days of hiring
-Valid NC drivers license (or ability to obtain one if relocating from outside NC)
Compensation and Benefits Include:
-Salary Range of $38,000-$65,000 DOE
-Potential for FIVE FIGURE year-end profit sharing
-SEVEN WEEKS PAID VACATION
