Has anyone ever used chain to fasten the lowering device to the trunk? Sherbrooketree

Never seen a chain used for attaching but i know a lot of them are rated for some serious wieght.

Sherbrook is so awesome. How old is the main climber i wonder...he makes me have hope i can be old and happy and still climbing ya know.

Hey Kyle,

Chain seems like a good Idea to me because webbing or rope tend to wear out quickly on the bark. You could even notch the trunk and not have to worry as much about sharp edges.

Yeah I love watching him work. He seems to enjoy it and he doesn't seem to get winded.
