Advice using elect saw

I just bought and tried out an electric, corded chainsaw. It worked pretty good.
As I’m going to start using it to cut up a bunch of logs, is there anything I should be looking for?
I know to check oil level. I believe the chain needs checked often too for slack? Any warnings about anything? Anything to watch for?

Make sure you have chaps rated for electric saws. They are different from those for gas powered saws.
