Adjustable pulley saver

Hi friends, here is my homemade pulley saver.
I used: double braid rope 12mm Gleistein Sirius (company from Austria),big steel ring from old Singing Rock cambiumsaver, Tenex 9mm for prusik, Pinto pulley, small karabiner Edelrid and for his rubber holder Petzl. After splicing i stiched 4x 2mm twine. It is cheap variant to original Treemaginers saver, my price is 57 euro, original 170 euro. Working great and color combination blue and yellow is sexy :)
Please, what do you thing about my work, i begin with splicing in last year and i learn only from information on internet, Samson standards etc.

Nice work :-)

Looks good although I prefer a soft eye, doesn't get stuck as easily as a big ring.

But they allways get stuck somewhere so it really doesn't matter ;-)

climb safe

ive been doing a bit of splicing lately including my first attempt at a pulley saver...i havent gotten a chance to climb on it but it certainly looks promising.

i use the ring and endless loop to make an adjustable friction saver. i like to keep my friction savers relatively tight so i use and adjustable friction saver most of the time. The reasoning behind the endless loop is simply that i feel like it is a bit more sleek and less bulky. as far as the pulley saver i used some semi rigid plastic tubing. my initial idea was to use one of the rubber shock absorbers from the cobra mini cable system but that was just too big. my next version will have some sort of solid rubber in the splice.

livefreeordie, did you use 16 strand on your pulley saver?

It looks like Samson 'gold streak', which is a 16 strand.
