Adjustable climbing system

I retie in all the time, as many times as it takes, no problemo.

I tried this system with the ropeman and did not like it. If you tail your rope pulling straight down it works but if you pull away from you as i do the ropeman creaps up. I still want to try it with just a prussic. I like it in theory, just need to play with it a little to find what works and what doesn't.

Any other tweaks to this system people have tried?

I gave this system a bigtime try late last summer and came to the conclusion that it is more of a PIA than anything else. Changing tie in points is the biggest hassle.

Sometimes simple is better.............that is the case for me with this system!!!

the only problem that i have is that i have to watch my spliced eye as that did get stuck in the pulley - i 've been off the gorund with this and find it a little harder to manager, BUT i think that like anything, once you get use to it - it may work.

I really dig this system ...in the right situation... If I know that I'm not going to re-tye in, in a tree that has a few limbwalks, I'll rock out the ropeman. It weighs very little, so I just keep it on my saddle.

In the right situation it kicks ash!

I had a chance to use that set-up for a few picks when you wern't looking and just wanted to add that it was pretty sweet for that scenario (alot of up & down). Also, it felt better using a terminal knot with it, rather than an eye splice.
