ACRT inc Postings

ACRT Inc. is currently meeting with highly qualified candidates who can operate independently, as part of a group responsible for the identification of hazardous vegetation along critical utility infrastructure. This position requires an educational background in forestry, horticulture, or arboriculture, with experience in these fields. ISA Certified Arborists and candidates with a Massachusetts Pesticide Applicators License or Massachusetts Certified Arborists credentials are preferred. If you’re looking to build upon your experience in the field of Utility Vegetation Management in Massachusetts, this is an excellent opportunity.

Consulting Utility Foresters will be expected to inspect, identify, and evaluate hazardous trees along utility rights-of-way. Serving as a liaison between the utility and their customers, and the contractors on the system, the forester will identify and catalog the trees and be responsible for the notification of intended operations to customers. The ability to educate the client’s customers of the program and to obtain permission for future planned work is a necessary skill. Locating parcel owners is a key function of this role. Knowledge of GIS and the ability to apply it to Vegetation Management is important to this role. Strong tree identification of Eastern US species is a preferred skill.

I just wanted to say thanks to the TreeBuzz community for the candidates and interest generated by this post. I have a few more spots open, and will be interviewing until they are filled. It's been great talking to those of you from the Buzz about ACRT and also neat when my field staff meet people who say 'I read about ACRT on the Buzz'. Hey everybody, the response to these positions has been fantastic. I'm so happy to have all of the 11 new faces. So many from the classroom visits, resume days, etc. UHN Thompson School, UMASS Amherst and Stockbridge School, SUNY ESF Ranger school and industry veterans- thank you. I do have 1 remaining position open, in the Boston metroplex, within the I 495 crescent.

These are consultant positions, with the countries only 100% employee owned company that solely focuses on UVM. We work with a high percentage of the top 25 Fortune 500 Utilities and have contracts in nearly every state in the contiguous 48 states. I'd be completely satisfies if I could get a employee through TreeBuzz.

Hi Keith - not sure, but I think you and Kevin were my instructors in Ohio. The pancake is what's throwing me off.

It was Kevin's first class that week - It was a great week-long class.use the training almost daily.

Been too busy to get my arb cert - but it is on the list for spring
