Been here much more than a while
- Location
- My Island, WA
relaxed day, with a waivered fence. The job was a 100+ ten inch diameter under story Doug Fir. It had a about a 25 degree lean from verical going straight for a hose bib, Rhodes, and a snake bark maple. The job presented a 4 options
Option one long climb up neighboring tree to rig small prices into a 8’ wide garden walkway.
Option two side pull to the right. Hope that peeling it down the side of the larger Doug fir won’t scrape too much bark. Also set cribbing to protect the hose bib
Option three put a huge MA (with out equipment) and pull/uproot it backwards into the woods
Option 4 side pull the top with a 3:1 more than 10’ off the lean and take the 8’ gate off the hinges and agree to waiver the 20 year old fence that is falling apart.
Rigged
Felled
Bucked and chipped cleaned up
Gate reinstalled
Relaxed work pace
Done in a hour.
The road cone was placed on a pile of debris because I couldn’t see the fence and gate from the stump due the rise of the ground
About $15-25 in material damage by clipping the trellis over the people gate
