That`s a cableouserectus.

That`s a long distance cable that suffered some rock blasting damage a few years ago.
I was energizing a new circuit this summer when I discovered multiple sheath and conductor damage caused by blasted rock.
That steel support strand is a pain for footlocking because there is so much bounce in it.
I only use the rope when the 28' ladder won`t reach or the terrain is too rough to drag a ladder in to do the work.
I have access to a forty footer but it takes an extra day and usually another body to get it up into that area.
I could really use a sky hook!
