Just womdering if anyone has any advice on how to get over the ho-hums. I find my job to be rather boring now. I don't have the same excitement or ambition I did a few years ago. I think this is my 13th year now and I know a lot of you have been doing it much longer and seem to still have a real passion for it. What's the secret? Any advice would be great.

Thanks

I'm really interested in adding to this thread. just a reminder to myself...

I like to grab my passport and head to some far away exotic country to surf all day and drink frosty cold drinks at night while entertaining all kinds of friendly good looking women. After a few months of that I'm ready for the links again.

That idea really intrigued me, unfortunately the wife said something about nuts and a jar. I'm thinking that I should take that as a no.

"Nuts and a jar", hmmm, intriguing. Wasn't exactly advise for a married man. I climb trees when I get bored with landscaping but I guess that wouldn't help you. Most of the advise given on here was pretty lame what I was getting at was a change of scenery. Camping trip or hike or a vacation. "Nuts and a jar", that's hilarious.

When I get the ho-hums it is time to for a vacation. About 1-2 weeks of camping, fishing, and hiking does it for me. Some people like the RV camping(phhhht on that) go tent camping. You can be more remote, and see more things. Besides that 2 weeks of camping with the family I am deffinatly ready to get back to work. Oh yeah don't go the popular places where everyone goes, go more off the grid. During the summer and into the fall the ADK is a cool playground for rock and tree climbers.
