9/16 rigging rope ????

A lot of times I use natural crotches in trees for rigging versus setting a block. I would like to find out what or if any of you use a 9/16 16 strand rope in natural crotches to rig. IF you use a 9/16 rope what do you recommend in a 9/16??

I've got this hank of 12 strand. I think it's 3/4" maybe 9/16", its hard to measure rope that fluffs up.

Its for sale...cheap too! I'd sell you the custom rope carrier along with it ;)

i gotta respectfully disagree bandit. we use true blue 1/2 natural crotch (usually thru a block up top and natural crotch redirects) and i dont have a problem with the diameter.
BUT the size of my hands is certainly not my most masculine trait....

I just find you can get a better grip on the 9/16. We sometimes use an old 12mm climbing line to lower small stuff and I notice a real difference in my ability to grip the rope. Maybe it's just me.

I would second the arbormaster, has a working load limit about the same as the 9/16th xtc. Bonner, for future reference can you guys order the 5/8 xtc, looks like it wouldnt be a bad natural crotch rope at a 1000lb wll.

I'm with Bonner,
I love arbormaster for light rigging and natural crotch work, even some not so light work too.. 95% of everything I take is on Arbormaster. stuff is great, and is super tough. I think I have only ever bought one hank to climb on.

Just get some double esterlon, that [pick a different word] will natty the [pick a different word] outta this world...just retired some...now I am going to get some freakin more 1/2" and 5/8"...a class rope...blocks or natty...the cover is tough as nails and our trees have hard rough bark...arbormaster is fine and can take some licking can handle some big pieces of 500 to 700 with a good roper...
